I have know Ideal that so many people love this restaurant so much!!!! The chefs are all the same, - from Sukhothai, Bangkok Thai, Magic Thai, One Night and Siam. Same Chefs with all these restaurants but not the same taste!

This is the best Thai restaurant in the city.
Try the calamari and shrimp appetizer, green curry, chicken in peanut sauce and snow peas, garlic shrimp, golden cups and more!

Although I've always enjoyed my food I tend to feel slightly ripped off due the the fact that they have nearly halved their portions while keeping the prices the same. The Mee Krob are fantastic but they used to come with pork, tofu and prawns now you have to choose one of the options.

I enjoy the food but don't expect to be in and out in under 2 hours as the service does tend to be quite slow. That said, I still can't help myself from ordering the dry red curry every couple of months... it's fantastic!

I came to Siam restaurant yesterday, because I heard about its excellent review. I am very disappointed & promise myself will never come back again. It is like Chinese food with Thai's price. None of the ingredient were fresh (except copped green onion), came from instant packaging. The service are so slow. Unless you are Caucasian, they will not be friendly to you.

I guess the reviewers of this site have never been in other Thai restaurants in Winnipeg. The MAGIC THAI on Logan is more delicious & uses fresh ingredients.

We've been to most Thai restaurants in Winnipeg, and happen to keep going back to Siam. Coincidence? I think not.

my husband and i have been frequenting Siam Thai for years. When we lived out West for 6 yrs we would visit the restaurant every time we were here (at least once, sometimes more). It even went as far as us freezing some and brining it back with us! We were unable to find a match to Sammy's beef Matsuman anywhere. We traveled Thailand for a few months and enjoyed the food there so much. Siam's food is the most authentic we've had here in Canada. Aside from the fantastic food and their gorgeous new location - the people are awesome.

As a Thai living in Winnipeg I would say it is the best Thai restaurant food you may find. Lately the dishes became smaller, but the quality is still the same (excellent). However I feel there should be more food service for the amount of money spent. Friendly and good service is another plus.

Still one of our favorite restaurants in Winnipeg-4 years running! Make sure to make a reservation, this is a popular one with the locals.

The decor is not the strong point of this restaurant, but the friendly service and great, home-cooked tasting food is! An almost overwhelming selection of foods makes ordering quite a daunting task, but going with the special or recommendations of the servers/owners always produces great results. The portions may seem smallish, but I've yet to walk away hungry, and I'm a man who likes his food. Hey, it impressed my brother from Ottawa, my 10-year-old loved it, so what more can I say?
