Awful. 1 and 1/2 hours. Overcooked or dried out? Cheese was dark brown, couldn't tell which pizza was which. Somebody went nuts with mushrooms. Gross. Never again.

So today was thursday. A buddy and I decided to order out. We decided that jumbo was the way to go as it is usually pretty good pizza. Tonight was a night to remember though. Starting out with the pizza taking an hour and a half. Then, one of the pizza's wasn't even cooked. The man taking phone orders tried to give us 20 percent off our next order, without giving us the full order we already paid for. Then finally came to the agreement that he would send a replacement pizza of the same kind we ordered and add on a couple coupons. Well, that took an hour and when the driver showed up, not only did he refuse to bring the pizza up, but he refused to get out of the car and even meet us half way to the building. Then he swore at us and took off in his car with this girlfriend in a rage. I proceeded to call the man back at the restaurant and tell him about the incident. He managed to get that delivery person to come back. When he did arrive again, he phoned me personally and again refused to come up with the pizza. Proceeded to swear at me and say that we were wasting his time, saying how his father owned the company and that is all that mattered. Needless to say, he didn't give us the coupons in the end. PS. We didn't eat the pizza, as being in the industry he was from. It was guaranteed to be spit on or something of the sort!

We had a kids birthday party we ordered pizza at 620 p.m. and hoped to have the pizza at the house in about a hour, needless to say the pizza arrived at 840 p.m. which meant that there was over a 2 hour wait time for the pizza and at the some time the pizza was so so warm and the reason for the delay was that they had a large order of 50 pizzas and couldn't keep up with the orders, well they should have told us that when we placed our order so we would have placed our order with another pizza place, and then we won't be so upset as we are at this time, they did offer a 5% discount which was ok but it wasn't worth the wait especially with 6 hungry kids for a sleepover.

I have called Jumbo Pizza tonight as last night they had an order placed by my son. I left $40.00 with him to pay. They took well over an hour to deliver it, and then the delivery guy tells my son he has no change from 40.00. The bill was 34.00. The oldest scam in the book. I called them tonight to complain, and the man was very, very rude. He said

I had a horrible experience with this pizza company. I have purchased from there before and have always had to wait minimum an hour and a half for my pizza to arrive, even on a weeknight. I seem to always have to call and find out when my pizza was coming. I've had the excuse, that they're lost or it's a new driver, etc. Even though I had those awful long waits on past experiences, I still went back.

Well, the last time I ordered was a few nights ago, and I can honestly say that I'm done with that company. I ordered a couple of pizzas and after an hour and a half, still nothing arrived at my door. Then we got a call from the driver saying he was lost. Fine, that was understandable, even though we had already told them which area we were in and how to get there. He was only 3 streets down from us, so we figured he'd be there any minute. Half an hour after his call, there was still no pizza. I called to find out where it was, and the guy I dealt with was quite apologetic and located the driver. So after getting off the phone, the driver did arrive.

I figured that we'd still tip the guy even though he was lost and took so long. Well, when he got to our door, I politely said,

Delivery usually takes about 1 hour. Sometimes the pizza arrives cold with a burnt crust. One time I called after waiting 1 hour and was told my pizza was on the way. 15 minutes later it still had not arrived so I called again. 90 minutes it still wasn't here, so I called again. It took 2 hours for my pizza to arrive!

When it arrived it was cold. I heated up 2 slices. I was so hungry that I practically inhaled the first slice without tasting it. As I was eating the second slice I noticed that it was bland and didn't taste the same as it usually does. About 1/2 way through the second slice I realized that my veggie pizza only had a few very thin slices of tomato on it and no other veggies.

I called Jumbo and talked to the owner/manager and told him the problem. Now most places would apologize and send out a new order and take the old one back. Not this place! He actually called me a liar. He said I was lying and that he personally inspected my pizzas before they left their restaurant. I picked through a slice and told him exactly what I was seeing and he still refused to believe me.

He told me that he would send someone to pick up the pizzas so that he could look at them and decide for himself if they were wrong. If they were, he would have 2 new ones sent to me. If he found them to be ok then he would send the old ones back to me. I told him that wasn't acceptable and that I wasn't going to wait another 2 hours for pizza to arrive and that I wanted 2 new pizzas delivered and that they could take the 2 wrong ones back.

The driver showed up at my door empty handed. He was told to pick up the pizzas and take them back to the restaurant for the owner to look at. I was fed up by this time and wanted my money back. The owner/manager was so rude, that I had visions of him spitting in any pizza that left the restaurant destined to come to my door and besides, this saga was going on for over 3 hours already.

I called the restaurant and demanded a refund. The driver spoke to the owner and was told to give me my money back. The driver literally threw the money in my face with the coins hitting me in the head and ripped the pizza boxes out of my hands so hard that the cardboard cut my finger.

That was the last time I ever ordered from there. I've never dealt with a restaurant that has provided such rude and inappropriate customer service as this place did. I was totally and completely disgusted at their lack of regard for the customer.

I have tried literally all the pizza places in this city from the most expensive to the cheapest, and i have to say for my hard earned dollar, nothing compares to Jumbo. That ins't to say they don't have thier drawbacks, for example.... communication seems to be an issue, as no one there has english as a first language (not that there's anything wrong with that), and delivery times, just brutal with only 2 stores in the city of 600,000 people in a giant urban sprawl, the times are minimum an hour (no matter what they say), unless of course you live around the corner, and even then. Quite often it seems they make a mistake (but who doesn't), and cpu's are obviously not being used for tracking customers repeat orders. All this being said, make no mistake the quantity of toppings they put on, put all the big boys pizza places to shame. That being said, i have to give this restaurant a very good rating even with the lack of service.
There is definately better pizza, and cheaper pizza, but for value, second to none!
I hope this helps anyone in thier decision to try something different!!

Good luck, and if someone finds something new and better please, I beg you, please let me know!!!

Jumbo Pizza is a horrible place to order from, and I would advise anyone who is not interested in getting profanities yelled at them to avoid Jumbo Pizza like the plague. Somewhere, somehow this Winnipeg restaurateur has come up with a concept of it is easier to yell and swear at their customer then provide quality of service. It is more effective in restaurant owners minds to save a few pennies than provide the quality of the product they claim to be offering. Do they really believe their customers will continue to do business with them? Why do I say this. Well, let me tell you our story.

My Husband and I placed an order with Jumbo Supreme Pizza (Phone # 982-6900) as we have done so for the last twelve years. We order from Jumbo Supreme pizza about 10 times a year. The same order we have personal requested for the last two years was made incorrectly. The spices they added to a pizza we always ask for them to be removed were on the pizza. My husband phone Jumbo Supreme Pizza informed them of their mistake and requested a new pizza, I can not eat hot spices I have a sensitivity to them. Immediately Jumbo claimed it was our fault because substitution were not allowed, which confused both of us because we always made substitutions, and started swearing and being verbally vulgar, then they hung up. My husband continue to phone them but they just swore at him and hung up the phone.

The next day he phoned them again, unfortunately, again, all he received was verbal abuse in the form of a variety of swear words, and no attempt was made by Jumbo to show any interest in what was after all a valid complaint. It took me, driving down to the St James location, with the pizza in tow, and actually showing them their mistake, to get satisfaction. Eventually Jumbo agreed to remake the pizza for us but it took almost 24 hours, and a great deal of distress on our part to get what was rightfully ours. I find this behavior to be completely unacceptable, and I think that Jumbo should seriously look into this problem, if it plans to stay in business. This is one customer that is never ordering from Jumbo again, and I am stating here and now that I am never recommending this place again. It's so said, the vulgarity and arrogance of Jumbo Supreme Pizza has ended any chance of us ordering from them in the future. All they had to do was correct their mistake, but saving a few pennies over keeping long term customers satisfied I guess is better in their business mind set. In our experience ordering from Jumbo Supreme Pizza was disappointing and a waste of time because they do not care about their customers and their product. N. J. Winnipeg, Mb
